    Which would you now prefer to play the possibility of a very good centre half and continue playing him and giving him chances, or use paul reid.

    Atkinson - Reid Too Slow......

    He'll make the odd mistake but looks a good prospect - League 1 is best Reid can hope for

    Why is Reid too slow?

    Loads of &quot;slow&quot; defenders that have been successful in the game (even at the highest level).</p>

    It's not all that important for a CB to be fast - unless you decide to stand him on thehalf way line and allow your opponents to bash long balls over the top all game long.</p>

    Arguably, only consistently poor defenders need pace.</p>

    They were saying both Reid and Aussy were doubtfull on the Radio earlyer,hopefully we've started the mind games lulling the pigs into a false sence of security:)

    more important than pace for a centre half is being able to read the game.paul futcher didn,t have pace but you very rarely see anybody get the better of him.JOHN TERRY aint that quick.
