Got to agree. I went anticipating a lift in the atmosphere today, but it was just non existent. Bolton fans sang from start to finish, to be fair to them. I can remember us breaking into song perhaps a handful of times. Disappointing for Danny's return in my opinion.
It felt strange all day for me. None of the expected zest and excitement in the air. I know we're playing badly but everybody seemed lifted by Danny's return... but from the farcical timing of the entrance music right through to the end it was flat. Perhaps people are finally losing the remaining shreds of optimism from the summer. By the way, how come away fans are allowed to stand in gangways, on seats, let smoke bombs off and climb in the camera section without any intervention by stewards? The same stewards who make a beeline for anyone acting up in the home areas?
