    Crowley, Rothwell or Hourihane?

I like Conor. But for me he'll have to settle for a place on the bench this weekend. He doesn't offer anything close compared to what I've seen of the other two.

I think Johnson will go with Crowley, but Rothwell must be pushing him close the lads a class above.

We've still Williams to fit in yet too..

This is what having a good squad means. Hopefully, in time we'll have that same level of strength in other areas of the pitch, too.

I think we shud play with a Double Diamond in Midfield, it worked wonders for some of our past players.

Rothwell seems ok to me thus far nothing more. Crowley looks in a class apart unless teams kick him about. Hourihane if not fully fit can be rested if he's fit he would get in to me. Better to develop and improve your own player rather than someone else's after all.

Agree with that but surely you would play the better player and give yourself a better chance of winning. Hourihane isnt fully fit and would benefit from coming off the bench. A fully fit hourihane though does pose selection problems for LJ.

If Hourihane isn't fully fit we have good cover so there's no need to play him. I've seen nothing from Rothwell so far to suggest he's any better than Conor so if both fit I'd choose our own player.

Saw one of his games with Blackpool last season and the pre season ones so probably the same amount as you. Anything you've seen to suggest he will contribute to over 50% of our goals this season?

I think this season we'll see the goals and assists shared out a lot more. We have and number of good attacking players now but they also have a better all round game than Hourihane.

I saw him play very well in preseason and he looked a class above on Tuesday night.

Either of these would do me...

    Davies/Townsend

    Bree Roberts Mawson Smith/Nyatanga

    Pearson Scowen

    Williams Hourihane Crowley

    Winnall

    OR
    Same back line but then

    Pearson
    Scowen Crowley/Hourihane

    Williams Watkins
    Winnall

Definitely a good option. I'm just of the mind that if we have two players of roughly equal ability it's better to play our own player who is here for the long haul rather than someone who could be gone at any point.
