This is starting to get embarrassing. There’s got to be a way of printing the actual attendance rather than the wish list of who should be there.
As the Crowds keeps thinning out with successive games the difference between the official Attendance and the numbers actually attending gets more and more obvious. We’ll soon be like Arsenal.

Must admit I’d be surprised if we had more than 8000 home fans there so I very much doubt there was more than 12000 in the stadium

I think the attendance today was higher than the available capacity we have. :D

Around 11,700 home fans announced at the game out of a maximum capacity of 12,100

Only 400 empty seats? Ok then...

it’s bonkers. I’m often shaking my head when comparing attendances down the years when watching the Reds. Attendances in the 70s and 80s under reported (tax fiddles). Attendances in the 21century grossly exaggerated because of the nonsense of false reporting season ticket holders. Very misleading.
Still it fits the Sky/media narrative of football being invented only in 1993.

3848 away fans in a 15100 crowd. Around 11k home fans I don't think so. Only two home ends and still sizeable gaps everywhere.

No way there was more than 9k home fans. Loads of people just didn’t bother turning up today. A sign of things to come I fear…..

I was in splendid isolation today. the current Mrs DR was absent as was the family of 4 who usually occupy the seats to my right in ESU. The official attendance is a farce. Lies damn lies and statistics.

Out of the 3 seats we have one had Covid and is isolating the other 2 of us just didn't bother, mainly due to the weather. Though I've only been to 5 home games so far for various reasons.
My motivation to renew has never been lower. Not all of that is down to the club, I have things at home pulling me away. But certainly the level of performance and general state of the club isn't giving me much to think about.

In the 5 games since the west stand shut & I was shifted to a damp inferior seat I've been to 3 and missed 2 through apathy/not really wanting to sit where I've been put & I won't be at the west brom game either. This is after missing maybe 1 or 2 games at most a season previously.
I won't be renewing next season if the west stand is still closed regardless of how we're doing on the pitch.

No clue at all these running Barnsley Football Club at present. They're running it into the ground.
And it I'll take a hell of a lot more than a silly chicken sandwich to save it
