Anyone ever repaired a scratched disc using the 'toothpaste' method as seen on YouTube? My lads new game for Xbox (that fell over whilst playing) has now has a circular scratch and won't work. Seen various YouTube 'fixes'....... anyone done it. It's all new **** to me. Effin kids!
Tip some coca cola down it and claim on the house insurance! I ant said that for ages but I couldn't resist!! Hopethishelps but I guess it wont!
Take it to a shop that buys and sells games they usually have a machine that polishs the disc surface. They use it to fix little scratches etc.game in town may have one or know who does. Gamestation used to have one but it's shut
Fook it im on it now. Just bought baking soda toothpaste (£1 from Parnd Stretcher)! Tried it on and old slightly scratched disc, clean and shiny and scratch less now!!! Eff me So onto the circular scratch one. One coat and the scratch has distinctly reduced. Update to follow.
£1.50 to have disc repaired at Grainger games, think its similar price at GAME. stop fecking about with toothpaste lol
Re: £3 a disc at Game Like AndyTyke says. Take it into game in town, they'll clean and fix up for a couple of quid. Young un scratched his GTA5 and I did the toothpaste thing but didn't work. Made it look worse if owt. Took it into game and was good as new within 5 mins.
The mildly scratched one worked with the toothpaste and is working fine! Game sorted the other £3! And we've minty fresh breath.
I'm currently using the rest, t-cutting some scratches ont car, resealing shower unit, getting a nasty stain outta bed sheets and repointing garage wall. Reyt tackle!
holy **** is there a grainger games in Barnsley? that lad has done well from just one small shop in Newcastle there all over now
