aussie is our most overrated player. no pace, no height, no real place in team if you ask me

Any winger who can run has cruised past him with ease this season.</p>

Port Vale away being a prime example.</p>

The guy is a squad player at the very best , he can get away with it at Centre-Half as he doesnt get isolated.</p>

The Oldham and Chesterfield wingers didn't have much joy.

 

I only saw the Chesterfield away and they didn't come out of

their own half so he had nothing to do.

You're evidence is a bit flimsy then.

He is a solid dependable full back. Strong in the tackle and doesn't let people past easily. Through his agressive nature and by leaning into attackers they don't get past him without a struggle.

Hassell however reads the game superbly and is in my opinion the best defender at the club. We will miss Austin as full back however and anyone who suggests otherwise is a poor observer of the game.(lookout)

I don't understand some peoples views on Austin. They are thankfully however in the minority. He has had a very good season.

 

You could tell at Oldham

Just how much iot meant to all of the local lads, but particularly him

 

He is proud to play for Barnsley

and it shows in his performances.

I just wish a few more who have played for the club over the past few seasons shared his attitude.

the fact he dives into tackles does not make him the quality defender you appear to think he is.</p>

I will accept he is better at Right-back than left back where he has played like a fish out of water.</p>

I don't think his is "quality", he has his faults such as his lack of pace and poor passing. He is however a very good full back at this level.

 

Howard

is a Star. He is just as passionate as one of the Barnsley lads.
