Will Austin be a big loss? What do you consider to be his strengths/weaknesses? (Not for publication)
Big loss in terms of his passion but lack of pace at times could mean his chances become more limited. Be interesting if Soton DO sign him. Perhaps that means that he's better than we think.
I like Austin a lot. He is committed in the tackle and that often makes up for his lack of pace. I have seen him caught out for pace so many times this season in away matches. He was run ragged at port vale. Having said that he is very strong in the tackle and totally committed to BFC. He can play left, centre or right back and perhaps that is why he is an attractive proposition I would be unhappy to se him go and hope he re-signs.
No great loss at all, he is OK at right back and Centre half , I dont think he is good enough to be first choice in either position</p>
Quite simply he's the best out and out defender at the club, okay not as good in possesion as the others but in terms of positional sense, tackling and defensive nouse we don't have anyone better.
