    If you just look at the attendances of towns with football teams and ignore all of the cities, we don't fair too badly coming in 8th place behind mainly Premier League or play-off challengers.

    Of the seven teams above us only Watford and Burnley have similar populations to Barnsley, the rest are much bigger Reading being well over twice as big!
