Anyone got any ideas what they think the average home attendance will be this year? I think around 10,000 but lets hope for more. back in the good old days of the eighties we averaged around 17,000. Fingers crossed we can supply the entertainment to get the fans flocking back. I still fear that Hillsborough and Elland Road take away too many fans from Oakwell.

Why would people choose Leeds over us now?

They're no longer what they were.

And why would the attendance drop by 20% from last season?

aye but average out the 3 big away gates

and it would only take the average down by 5-600, also the 3 releagated sides will bring a few and thers Scunny also

    Sheffield Wednesday?

That's our largest guaranteed away following - £7000+ every year.

Leeds didn't even feel the North Stand, and would Sunderland, Derby and Brum have if they'd been mid table?

    Plus we've gained Sheff United.

Charlton , Watford and Sheff Utd might combine for 7,000.</p>

    Ah but my point is...

There's probably 15 clubs minimum who would sell the same tickets as Brum/Derby/Sunderland if they're up at the top this season come March/April, so I don't think we'll lose out very much.

EG, Norwich brought 6000 in 2002 for the game that sent us down, but normally might bring 1-2000.

We were just fortunate last season that we got those games late on in the season. Every other week was a home game against a team in the top 6. If we had played Sunderland the other way round, ie at home in October, we would have got about 1500 from them. Same with Derby.

Those 3 games probably paid for the Mossto signing.

Nothing we can do about the fixtures or the other teams in the division though. Just got to win games and improve the home support.
