Is anyone else having problems getting it to auto update? The old version updated as soon as I connected to the internet and this is set to do the same but it keeps saying connection failed. Manually updates fine.

Mine doesn't update at all if I am not online at the time of the update. With the older version it would update as soon as I next went online so now I have to do it manually.

Goto Tools/Advanced settings. Click on the cross at the side of 'schedules'. Select 'virus database update schedule'. Put a tick in the box at the side of 'run update when online connection available'</p>

Mine has a tick in the 'run update when online connection available' box, but keeps coming up with the message 'the connection with the update server has failed' every couple of minutes while I'm online!

Did you install it over the 7.5 version or did you uninstall the 7.5 version first? The problems seem to be when you install it over the 7.5 version. I've now uninstalled 8.0 and installed it again. Its now got the latest update, so I'm not getting the 'the connection with the update server has failed' message every few minutes. Won't know until tomorrow if it's going to auto update.

    Can't say I noticed

But according to the control center, it HAS done an automatic update today.
