Does anybody know anything about AVG?

Just run a virus scan and in the test results 3 items have been flagged as being infected, I've tried healing / moving them to the virus vault but I get a message saying 'requested action is not available for any of the selected objects'.

    Anybody help?

Do you have any other virus checker installed! This happened to me when i had norton and it was norton stopping me from deleting the viruses.

Also on the subject of AVG. mine wont update the virus database today or yesterday for that matter!

    Anyone else having this problem?

    I've never had

a problem with AVG. Get regular updates which all upload properly.

I've had a couple of dodgy infiltrators, each of which have been dealt with and eliminated.

There maybe programmes running in the background that are using those files. The programmes will need to be stopped before AVG can remove them.

It could also be something to do with system restore. Try turning off system restore and see if AVG will then remove them.

I ended up deleting the files in the end, as per the faq on the grisoft website. The offending object was something called NudeBox.class (I think?), which was a Trojan? Anyway deleted them, ran the scan again and everything looks alright now. Just thought it puzzling that I couldn't get rid of them through AVG. Hopefully now I'm cured!

    Cheers to all
