Just wondered how many we took to Blackburn last night. First away match I’ve missed for 2 years Sounded a good atmosphere when ssn went there
There were a few empty seats in the away end but I'm not sure how many we took. The atmosphere was good though.
A Blackburn fan on talksport on the way home said about 1,000 Barnsley fans, i'de have thought it was a few less than that, maybe 700?
i would have said about 700 too, was a brilliant atmosphere the good old songs were coming back "just like watching brazil" was even sung at one point, we outsung there fans for 90% of the match. best i have seen for a while, dee dars away was probably the last time i heard hus sing that loud away from home (maybe because we had a relegation party) and there was about 5000 of us lol.
I'd say about 750 were there. Excellent atmosphere generated due to a stirring performance and fans allowed to sit wherever they wanted.
it was reported from both barnsley player and blackburn player between 500 and 600. the rovers commentary was well impressed even though i thought it could have been better... im sick of 'bigger' clubs thinking were that small that only 500 supporters are a 'good turn out'.
