It just is. Encouraged by the apparent performance but gutted by the result. Is it a mental thing that we can't get anything away?
Can we get this in perspective? This season (which is what counts for me - we look a completely different outfit from the one which stole a living from January to May last season) we've played Brighton, Wolves and Blackburn away. Never in my wildest dreams would I have expected us to get anything from any of those. As it was, we performed OK at Wolves, sounded like we were robbed at Blackburn and got thrashed by Brighton. Not ideal, but no basis for panic. Let's see how we do at the Selhurst Parks, London Roads and Dens of the league before getting carried away.
we've always been ***** away from home, so the apparent decent performance (and the stats to back that up) leave room for optimism
I'm not panicking. I'm encouraged by what I've heard tonight and what I've seen at home. The thing is though is that from the turn of this year we have picked up 4 points away from home. Thats pretty bad. While I appreciate we have played some good sides this season, its something that need addressing. You can't rely on getting all your points at home. 2012 and even further back than that into last season under Hill, suggests we might have to . . . .
