Jon Macken as captain??? What is that all about?? If Howard does leave tomorrow Macken better be a very temporary arrangment.
was slightly baffled by that yesterday as well. in my eye's failing to appoint either foster/muller/moore as captain means davey intends to select him every game, you can't keep swapping captains about.
If that turns out to be the case and Macken is full time captain, Davey is digging his own grave, which in my opinion is nearly finished anyway!!!
i'd go for muller. might be the incentive for him to stop with us when the premiership big guns come knocking in january.
Davey does seem to like players who couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo.
Which, to be perfectly honest, doesn't seem to be that good an idea as a manager!

RE: Muller or Foster for me. Muller has got the presence and certainly can get the crowd/team going. Foster is Mr dependable and will play 99% of the games this season.
foster for me but I think he probably gave it to machen to either boost his confidence a bit or see whether the additional responsibility improved his game - he needed to improve a bit after cardiff!
Big Darren Been there, done it. Born Leader. Commands Respect. Muller vice for when Moore not playing.
RE: Davey does seem to like players who couldn't hit a barn door
Don't you mean.... "hit a cow's arse..... with a banjo" ?

RE: Davey does seem to like players who couldn't hit a barn door or cows arse with a barn door....... pedantic brigade are out!!!!!
Moore for me. Don't think Foster is vocal enough, he even seems very quiet on the interviews. Very short answers. Moore has been there and done it. Agree that Macken was baffling.
