    It's looking grim, you're right. With that kind of record, he's very fortunate to still be at the helm, although I'd give him a little longer.

    I suspect if we look at our record this year, since January, it would make dire reading. Anyone got the stats to hand?

    Seriously, does any Barnsley fan really need to see the stats to see how we have performed in 2012?
    Keith avoided relegation by the skin of his teeth last year. But in reality Pompey did him and us a massive favour. That wont happen again though. The longer he stays in charge the sooner we will be relegated. Watch out for the Owls changing manager before the end of the year and it wouldn't surprise me to see Bristol City follow suit. They like Ipswich will then kick on, leaving us and Peterborough totally marooned at the foot of the table.

    Don't you think that's a little convenient? No matter, you will be able to judge this whole season in May and we can reconvene our chat then...

    Played 19

    Only managed to score more than 1 goal in 1 game.

    Our home form has kept us up in the past... Played 10 Won 2 Drawn 4 Lost 4, 8 home games since a Win.

    Its Ok people accepting a point because were playing a good team, but this league is full of good teams and the odd point here and there will send us down. We need to be more positive when playing at home and focus on calculated risks to gain the maximum points.

    Its a similar story ever week, we have 55 - 60% possession but only 2 shots on target! Teams are more than happy to let us have the ball because they know we wont shoot and arnt creative enough to break them down ( This Becomes Easy To Defend Against) hence lack of goals.

    Solution;

    BEST FORM OF DEFENCE IS ATTACK

    Basics; The more shots you have the more chance of scoring!

    Variety; Lets start shooting more at the edge of the box and draw teams out to close the ball down and in turn allows ball to be played in behind them. I would be happy to see the odd long ball turning the defence around.

    The next 6 weeks is crucial with a busy december Birmingham and Wednesday are must win games at home, loose these and I feel a long second half to season.

    Wednesday games on sky and ticket prices are still £28.00, lets see if the bright sparks will lower the price and get some people in the ground.
