Wouldn't single those out, the run chase was flawed from start to finish. Choked.

Still comes down to the top 2 for me. We never get ahead of the game, even though i have berated Trott, he was like Gilchrist compared to Bell.

Been saying the top three needs a change for forever it seems. Weak.

they wouldnt have been the top 3 had it been a official 20/20 game tho, easy to critisize now but them top 3 played a big part getting us to the final, i would imagine englands biggest regret would be not havin swan in the side the way it spun, but the ashes is more important so can understand why

would also be nice for the tv umpire to explain the decision to give bell out, shocking

That was very disappointing Trott should have opened he is express compared to Cook and Bell and Samit Patel for Bresnan would be my pick.

Good bowling performance but not a great batting performance.

I love cricket but its a strange old sport at times. A 50 over game is completely different to a 20 over so the neither side is set up for it at all, particularly England. (Although I would have thrown Buttler or Morgan in at number 3 and gave a chance to play themselves in before opening up....)

The thing I liked was that if there had been no play at all today, the trophy would have been shared! WTF?! Can you imagine that in any other sport?
World Cup Final 2014, Brazil V Spain. Heavens open and the game is called off . . . "Well, we've all had a lovely few weeks, lets just share the trophy and everyone goes home happy."

No reserve day for a final very unsatisfactory tactically weak agreed Morgan should have batted at 3 and Bopara at 4 we struggle against spin though.

Agree, as i've said in the post ive just made, spoiled a final for 24 hours. The ICC will say India are playing the the west indies on friday but 24 hours wouldn't have made a big difference to them.

In England at any time of the year there should be a reserve day for a final. Its bizarre not to and if they had not been able to play at all would have made the last 2 weeks even more of a waste of time.

We've had a good tournament and just lost out to a very good Indian side.

We could easily have won that had things gone our way, it was not an awful performance.

This is a golden era for English cricket, we may not be a great ODI side but I don't think they deserve to be slagged off.
