Have to agree, Roberts was immense and won everything, Alfie was the best player on the pitch for mine and George Williams once again as solid as a rock - what a bonus he's been. Not Aidy White's best game but Port Vale overloaded our left side and he wasn't as well helped by Conor and Hammill as George was by the two Josh's. Just about all their semi-threatening attacks came down our left. Scowen was also very good today.
Since his return, we've taken 20 points from 9 games and conceded 4 goals. He's been outstanding for me. Kevin Long was a hard act to follow, and I think he's totally stepped up to the plate.
Despite White's experience he isn't as vocal as Williams in telling the players in front of him what he needs.
