we were losing 2-1 at the Millenium Stadium. Pretty much everyone around was looking and feeling pretty glum. The whole play-off thing was starting to look like a bit of a write-off. Just in front of me, one of the contributors to this BBS stood up whilst all was silent, and shouted "BARN-SER-LEY". Soon enough he had everyone around him doing the same and we all got behind the team. Good on you Andy! It was one of the memorable moments of Cardiff. Would never happen at Oakwell though. Maybe we should play our home games in Wales.
Aye it certainly was. What do you do to improve the atmosphere at Oakwell though? Id like to sit in a more Vocal area at Oakwell but I'd prefer to watch football from the sidelines and not behind the goal. Would allocating a singing area in each stand work? ( I know the the corner stand end of the ponty ) Have clubs done this in the past? Reintroduction of the Oakwell band?
RE: Reintroduction of the Oakwell band? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! nt nt
Is that because they were deafening the people round them (I seem to remember there was some aggro) or do you just not like bands at football matches?
Never objected to them myself but then I was never sat next to them.
