    There are a few decent bars and stuff near the ice rink on the main city square. That'd be a good place to start

    The Dragon off Market Square does good food

    It's only a small place, and not been in the evening, but might be worth a try. There are a few other places round there, your typical chain places like Fat Cats, Ask, etc which are Ok too.

    Alternatively walk across the main square, keeping the hall to your right - up there there's a few decent bars/eateries for a quiet rendezvous.
