Aye But let's face it, Chesterfield were one of the worst sides I've seen at the Well this year and there's beem some competition! They were on a bad run of losses - confidence at rock bottom and no form to speak of. We outplayed them and really should have buried them. Again, as last week, we find the strikers hideously wasteful and then let a simple, soft goal in at the other end. We are only back in the play-off's thanks to a spectacular combination of poor results from other top-7 teams and I am as frustrated as anyone that we squandered such a glorious opportunity.
When did we actually hammer anyone? Has it not been a season of victories/defeats by the odd goal? While on paper we have the best team in this leauge,i cannot think of too many games that have been enjoyable this season.
RE: When did we actually hammer anyone? Was thinking that today. I really thought we could put about 5 past this lot as I knew how poor they were. And to be fair we REALLY should have but for yet again, poor finishing. It happens to us far to ofetn to be unlucky, its simply a lack of ability
RE: When did we actually hammer anyone? Oldham and Scnuthorpe at home Swindon and Gillingham away They are the only games we've won by a margin of 3 or more that I remember.
Oldham Athletic 4-0 (a good omen?) 01-Oct-05 H Oldham Athletic W 4-0 (3-0) Nardiello 7; Devaney 11; Shuker 13, 53 8,077
I've not heard anything Then again I've not been listening particularly. The last I heard they'd set a deadline of mid-April and were waiting to see before organising any more strikes, but it wasn't looking likely that the government were ready to cave in just yet. So how long before the "single" (i.e. "debauched") life gets too much?
