What are your views on bacon? Do you prefer smoked or unsmoked?

I prefer smoked and by far the best way to cook it is in a frying pan, perhaps with a small amount of olive oil. Once cooked through, why not put it in a crusty roll and simply add some brown sauce.

This food tip was brought to you by JFP. These are the beliefs of the author and do not serve as legally binding. Remember, your crusty bacon roll could be at risk if you do not keep up repayments on your home.

Unsmoked, grilled, no butter or marge on the teacake as enough fat from the bacon....maybe some mushrooms as well.

    Smoked Bacon

Most of what you see in the shops isn't smoked anyway - it's just a few E numbers added to it to give the flavour.

outdated bread saying v modern bacon cutting

"best thing since sliced bread" some say. Surely in these modern times "best thing since sliced bacon" is better. I don’t actually mind slicing bread, but the mess, inaccuracy of the cut and hygiene problems caused by raw pork while having to slice bacon at home make this my favourite "best thing since..."alternative to bread.
