I'm not talking about the group either.
I've lost count today how many times I've given way to let people pass on the pavement or in the aisles of the supermarket. I also opened a door to let a lady in who was juggling her shopping bags. Did anyone of them thank me? Did they chuff! Ignorant buggers. Not even a nod of acknowledgement.
Whatever happened to manners!?! Have they started charging for them?

Yes, its something that frustrates the hell out of me too. In particular, going into a shop and managing to make a pucrhase without a please/thank you from the shop assistant winds me up badly.
I always find that older people are extremely rude comnpared to younger people. I was in Brammah's other dinner and I got out of the way of 5 pensioners so they could get through and not one of them said thank you, I wish I had let them wait for me.
AS an "older" person I'm sorry AND I agree they are... or should that be we are ?? but i do try not to be..
RE: AS an "older" person I'm sorry AND I agree they are... Haha, I know not everyone is like that but I think that is a fair general rule.
Dont get me going on this one We have 5 now grown ups with their own families and 7 Grandchildren and without exception they have been brought up to be polite and remember that manners cost nothing.. and i am pleased to say that I am proud of all of them. I dont want to sound as if I am blowing my own trumpet but if manners and politeness arn't in the home then they arnt going to be found underneath a bush. Also with manners and politeness usually comes respect for others and good standards . Something very lacking in todays society if you ask me. Rant over..
