Reports coming out from the Hannover journos that we are taking up the option to sign Bahre permanently for 130k. Now in my opinion this is an absolute bargain with minimal risk for a lad who is inconsistent but he’s shown us in games his quality and he’s already embedded into the squad. What are people’s opinions on this? Should we sign him or test the waters for someone else? Or do both?
Wtf - is there a zero missing? Surely wrong. Loads of room to improve But loads of potential too, he’s one of the most skilful players I have seen. But also does some really easy stuff wrong
Amazing technique. His close control is as good as I've seen. Matched only by his ability to give the ball away and generally ******** things up. But I'd definitely sign him for that price and hope his awareness and game play improves to match his obvious skill.
Factor in three years wages and it's500k swallowed up. Soon spend ya budget up buying average players that at times has looked to struggle in league one.
As you say. but he has the skill and natural ability in abundance e.g. close ball control, that cannot be taught, and he can be tutored with good coaching to eliminate the things he cocks up (which are far simpler IMO). Stendel is the man. Bahre's inconsistency is the most frustrating bit. One minute a 'killer', defence splitting, pass followed by two or three passes straight to opponents! Even with an added nought though, I still think he would be worth a punt, particularly in the championship.
Rubbish. Still you are entitled to your opinion. Bahre's ball control and close work is as good as anything I have seen at Oakwell in many years. He is still young and developing.
So spend £2million buying a player, factor in 3 years wages.. probably looking at around £3 -£3½million? Could still not be any better than Bahre!!
Do it quickly before word gets round. There's a real footballer in there; Stendel and his team can improve him no end.
Do they 'sing' opera pop rock or jazz? If they have that additional skill and can supplement their wages by moonlighting I would expect them to be on lower wages
It's all part of the plan to improve half time entertainment and thus improve the matchday experience, do keep up!
