Might not be in favour but needed someone like Bailey last night as it was manic in middle of the park. And no one got a decent cross in.
Especially with the lack of replacements we are seeing. These friendlies are giving match time to too many guys who probably won't be anywhere near our first team next season. It's suppose to be the time when new signings that will be first team regulars are gelling with eachother. Instead at this rate we will be hoping guys gel in competitive league games quickly.
As we often do. It's usually well into September by the time our team can start to 'gel', due to our last push recruitment. Usually by this time it's evident we need a raft of loan signings to further de-stabilise.
When did they play as a partnership? Berry was wide right up to Christmas & Bailey centre mid. When Berry was brought back in to the team near the end of the season Bailey was out of the picture.
This is why in worried, to cast Bailey aside is totally stupid, I hope I'm wrong but I'd have gone with Mark Burton, time will tell
I get it with Bailey - LJ is after something else and I think has had targets in mind. Flogging Berry was a weird one though, and we could do with Lalkovic being involved
Agree. Berry and Lalkovic. Young, talented, and with potential to get much better. Both grafters and hard trainers too by all accounts. And hardly likely to be on silly money! Bailey may be on a fair whack and if we get Kelly in the centre mid looking our one decent area.
That's fair enough, but he might not secure those targets. Why alienate Bailey in the mean time? Come kick off in August we might need. Have Bailey training with the squad and being part of these friendlies until we bring in a replacement or until he's sold. What we're doing achieves nothing because we have no one to play in his position.
This. We seem to be alienating players for no reason. I understand if LJ doesn't like Bailey et al but why banish him from the squad. Poor management.
