La Liga is where he is destined to play. His style of play fits perfectly with the Spanish way. He almost looks out of place when he plays for England.

Although the obvious & available slots at City & United seem made for him. Kompany is ******, so they need a natural replacement, and Utd have struggled to find someone to play alongside Smalling for two seasons now. Imagine Mourinho would love to have the England centre-back pairing in his side.

What a fantastic opportunity for the lad.
Man Utd.... ok, but Barcelona !! My goodness, how I wish I'd been any good at football.
Anyway, let's talk sell-on clauses again. 25%, 15%, 10% or "there's something we haven't told you.... err, sorry, but...."

I doubt chris smalling will be in the team. He has improved a lot but he will never be truly international quality IMO.

We'll see but I can imagine him not staying too long

It's been confirmed by Mr Cryne that it's 15% hasn't it? And they haven't sold it.

If he goes for £40million (and if three are in for him they might bid beyond that too)
    that's £6million. Lovely jubbly.

Plus the few quid from the JPT final and the playoff semis and the final and any prize money for getting promotion (if it happens)

If I was Stones I think I'd choose City.

At 21 it would be a big step to move to a different country, leave your family, learn a new language and probably sit on the bench.

He wouldn't even have to move house if he played for City. He'd also get straight into the first team and get the opportunity to play champions league football under Guardiola.

Interesting that Man U, City, Barca & Chelsea all in for a lad who has already been written off by the London media pack and the ignorant 'expert' pundits on TV. All because he had a few bad games at the top level at the age of 21! Captain of England in 2 years time. Make the right choice and good luck to Stonesy!

I think he should chose Barcelona, or if he stays in England, it should be Manchester City. I don't think he would advance as a player at Old Trafford, and agree with Cantana and Bruce, that the surly one is the wrong choice for Manchester United.

I reckon his defensive qualities would develop better under Mourinho or Conte, but he would fill his boots at Barca. In the end money will talk I guess.

Huge tournament for Stonesy....and possibly BFC.

If he shines on that stage he's set for life. I posted last summer that Spain would be his "natural home" can see Real entering the bidding also.
