Will be looking to spend a night in Barcelona after a cruise, any recommendations ~£70 mark. I've never been there, advice on where to stay close, walkable to a decent spot to eat and a drink would be best. Nowt too rowdy, but not after solitude.

If you're cruising (not in a gay way), you'll be wanting something Port side. Villa Olimpica and Montjuic are very nice areas. If you're wanting more authentic, try Barceloneta. Personally would avoid La Rambla like the plague.

Dont want to spoil your jaunt. Barcelona is a fantastic place but beware! it is the pickpocket capital of Europe. last time i went I had my wallet lifted, went to the police station to report it and found myself in a queue of over a hundred people wanting to report the same. just be aware i would suggest a money belt and only take out with you what is necessary. and have a great time

weird that. everyone says it, i've never seen it. been 5 times and never had a sniff of bother. but then again, i never spend any time round La Rambla. if people walk round there holding maps, talking to hookers and buying $hit off flower sellers, they only have themselves to blame. the barrios can get a bit shady in areas late at night, but i think that adds to the ambience. beautiful city

Brilliant city. Been with the missis and had my stag do there. La Rambla can be ropey, but 10 yards from it you're in the heart of the Bari Gotic whic IMO is the best part of the city.

Be sensible, don't take cards out, ans keep your hands in your pocket and you'll be fine

If you wander down to Barceloneta, not that far from Las Ramblas, go in the El Vasa de Oro bar,Carrer de Balboa, its the first street in Barceloneta. He brews his own beer, ask for Rubia, also does a stout, the locals drink half stout half Rubia. Great traditional Tapas bar , it a long bar but has about 5 entrances off the street as in places you can only stand 2 deep. Also recomend the Born area on a night with its small alleyways and bars, Taller Tapas outlets have decent food if you come across one.
