I am off there next weekend for my stag do and off to the Nou Camp on Saturday to take in a game. Cannot wait.
Brilliant experience. Won't be full mind possibly 70-80k but what an experience none the last Went the other year when they played Valencia. Where did you get match tickets from
Absolutely amazing city. We were there earlier this year whilst the Copa Del Rey final was on. Didn't get tickets for the game but watched it in a bar in the centre. We then did the stadium tour the following day which was brilliant. Only problem with the place......pickpocketing!! It is absolutely rife and the thieves are like chuffing magicians. We were very aware and careful yet the wife still got her purse nicked. Mind you, it was carnage on the day with so many people in the city for the final. Brilliant place though. The Sagrada Familia is the most amazing building i've ever seen.
Been to barca 7 times and never been picked once. Then again, we never go anywhere near Rambla.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If you get down to Barconaletta area there's a great bar on the first street, Vaso De Ora sells best beer/ lager I've had in Barcelona , Rubia, and great tapas as well Also recommend Borne area at night some great bars http://www.europeanbeerguide.net/barcpubs.htm
It happened to us on the Rambla. The following day it happened to a bloke outside the Sagrada Familia who realised mid-theft and ended up having a right do with the bloke. It also happened to my dad who was going down the escalator on the underground two years before. He caught the bloke straight away and someone returned his wallet which had been thrown onto the opposite escalator to be collected at the top. Mate of mine also had his wallet nicked there. Loads more examples on Twitter. I saw something which reckoned that there are approximately 150 pickpockets working on the Barcelona underground every day. Such a shame as it is also probably the best city that I have ever visited.
Barceloneta is where we always stay. Best part of the City for us. Spent many an hour in Vaso. I wouldn't recommend it for this crowd though, with the Cap Pis Turistic campaign going on. It'll end in tears. Even we felt the slightly edgy atmosphere last year, and may look at a different area next time.
