CAn't see us winning next saturday now with all our injuries and suspensions do well just to have enought players to make up a team
To be fair We're missing Hume, Devaney and Moore at the moment to differing long term length injuries... all these are key first team players so we've been unlucky. We've also missed Kozluk, Macken and De Silva for a number of games. Yet we're still keeping our heads above water. With a budget like Barnsley's you might have the choice of having a squad of 20 with a number of genuine quality signings - eg Hume, or 25 players, some on less wages and costing less and therefore of probably lower quality. Not an easy balance.
we all knew our squad was thin yet pretty much our ONLY cover in central defence is out on loan we have two central attacking midfielders at the club and again one is out on loan. its ok though because we have enough strikers to fill the bench with them. odejayi, rigters, mostto, coulson, macken, cureton, hume. any more?
Well I must admit that the squad is somewhat unbalanced, and yes it is ridiculous having a bench of 4 strikers and a midfielder as was the case one game recently.
