But it's only us that have these issues because we're a Micky Mouse Tin Pot Club with an acting CEO who doesn't care. That's how it goes isn't it? I mean there's no way a club like Southampton would have people queuing outside ten minutes in to their first home game because of a ticketing system going down. That only happens to us.
Now that is a bad day at the office! And fair play for them being so open about everything. It's the small businesses and small clubs that you absolutely have to feel for right now. Covid and Brexit combined. Not easy to contend with.
"At this point we had to deal with; no Stewards no Club Shop no badged replica kit, no chefs, no beer, no bench wear, no shirt numbers, and no match balls." Apart from that, everything was OK......
The bit that tickled me most was the chef issue. I can only imagine him büllshitting to get the job at first
Really clear statement. They've had a nightmare and this just highlights how important comms are. In most cases, I genuinely believe that if people are kept informed, they will be patient and understanding. Particularly impressed with the Club Chairman acknowledging that "service fell well short of expectations, both on and off the field" and that "it’s right that you should pick us up on any failings, for which we can only apologise". For me it's really important that supporters have the right to call it out if things go wrong (in the right way of course), rather than fear they may be accused of attacking the Club. The Barnet Chairman obviously feels the same way. Great comms, in a $hit situation.
I didn’t realise that workers on furlough still accrued holidays. Some people have done very well out of covid.
