The lad was awful, completely and utterly out of his depth, no positional sense, slow and an all round tosspot.

he worked hard, the harsh truth is that he is far too slow for this league, which lands him (and his team mates) in all kinds of trouble

Every Team Has A Blue Eyed Boy And

Hecky is ours. Rather have Austin or Williams there. Sooner Eckersley gets back the better.

I thought Howard was playing left wing? He was shocking today at times.

    Aye but

if you wuld prefer to play central midfield and the BOSS tells you that for the team you'ld be better playing cm then its acceptable not to put in a full shift is it?

If my gaffer tells me he he thinks the team will be successful today if you shovel ****, then I shovel **** with gusto.

    exactly.

Niether did Heckingbottom nor Disco. Hence our weakness on the flanks.

To be fair though we suffered from a tremendous Huckerby finish, then an unlucky series of bounces that find a yellow shirt unmarked and onside coupled with 20 mins of abject defending by all.

If Rajzci had finished a gilt edeged chance in the 2nd half we probably would have had a point.

    Not a team player then?

Football is a team game, especially in our position.

In times of struggle only losers take such an attitiude.

To be fair I think the football league would 'probably' have insisted on giving norwich 3 points and us none for a 3-2 scoreline. They're mean like that :D

What I meant, as you well know..

is that had we drawn level with 25 mins to play, I think we would have forced a point.

Sorry, just thought i'd be a bit awkward.
I reckon that if it had gone in we'd have been in with a good chance. Having said that, most of the balls into the box from the midfield (and paul reid when he did his usual long ball) were aimless hit and hope efforts so it would have depended on whether davey sorted out the left wing and whether devaney bucked his ideas up.

Our wing play failed us all game

marginal improvement in the 2nd half.

Its amazing Ferenczi has done so well without the service.

Oh for McIndoe for the next ten games.

RE: Our wing play failed us all game

I'd settle for Paul Hayes at the moment. At least he could push Devaney for the right wing spot and if Davey realised that Kyel reid is a winger, not a striker then we might just have a couple of options on the wing.

I thought that today McCann should have been on the left wing and howard in the middle (his better position). Especially in the second half when it became clear that we needed somebody more defensive to do Heckingbottoms job for him.
