Just had a look for a bet for tomorrow and www.marathonbet.co.uk are offering 5/1 for the win. Usually the kiss of death but had to have a flutter at that price.
It's 5.00 on the decimal so 4/1. Still a big price. A good bet is Barnsley to win and over 2.5 goals in the game. Usually a goal fest when we play Bristol City. Priced at 6/1. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Draw and over 2.5 would be a good shout. I don't ever remember us winning there since I started supporting us 18 years ago.
We won there in 91-92 & 93-94, and now you come to mention it I cant remember us winning there since. Btw, that win there in 93-94 was in the blue pin striped shirt, the one in my current avatar!
Would be sweet, but my lad predicted them to score a late winner and little Lee to do a knee slide in front of the away end, wearing suit and gloves. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
I wonder how we compare with other clubs for having teams we struggle against away from home. We seem to have quite a few and not just at this level. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
Coventry, Norwich, QPR, Bristol City. Different groups of players each time yet they all contrive not to win at these places. It's a curse basically.
I always remember Ipswich, Sunderland & Portsmouth away were games we usually always lost as well. Yes there have been a handful of wins there but not many!
We won only a few years ago (in 2009) when JCR scored though, so it's not like the winless run has gone back as far as QPR or Norwich at least
http://www.11v11.com/teams/barnsley/tab/opposingTeams/opposition/Bristol City/ Our record v Bristol City. Last won there 1993, so not quite as bad as some grounds Astonishing number of goals in recent games between us. 20 in the last 4, 51 in the last 11. Cue 0-0 tomorrow. Although recent games look dull compared to our 7-3 victory in Division 3 in 1961 and their 7-4 victory at Oakwell in 1958
