    Rumours are Barnsley are trying to thrash out a deal for Swansea Citys Leon Knight. Rumoured at around £100,000.
    The only thing holding this up, is Ritchies insistence of Knight moving to Barnsley on loan until January, when the deal will be made permenant. However, for this, Jackett requires more money..... You heard it here first!!

    according to someone on the BBC message board...

    If anyone can turn Knight round to being a 'team player' it's Ritchie

    Can't see the team tolerating anyone who upsets their strong team spirit. He will have to kuckle under but could be a good signing if he gets him playing with a smile on his face.

    No way we want Knight, he's left every club due to falling out with people and look back at some of the comments when he left Brighton to join Swansea.

    He currently is top scorer for Swansea, who T/L's their top scorer unless your in financial difficulty.

    Plus he's an ex dee dar

    was a maungey get , but..he scored goals.

    we can't risk the team spirit but ritchie might weigh it up and think he can get the best out of him. McIndoe was supposed to be a similar type of player but seen nothing but hard work from him.

    playing at a higher level might lend him to improve his attitude - he's a very good player and is capable of playing in the championship, it might frustrate him playing in league one i suppose. might be worth taking on loan to weigh up the risk? we can always send him back if he disrupts harmony.

    but if he scores the goals to keep us up then i'd be happy.

    ritchie seems to have a knack of getting good out of players. we're not really in any position to buy a proven goalscorer so we might have to take a risk?
