Hi, I have been asked by my friend to do some research for his site, which sells cult hero t shirts of all clubs in Britain and across the world. Basically you pick the player you want featured and the caption and colours. There is already an extensive Barnsley database, but I just wanted to see if there are any players missing who you guys think should be there. Some players will appear in other clubs or the internations section so its worth typing them into the search bar! Any that you want list in this thread or on the facebook group and I will do my best. Added players will be updated on the facebook group. The facebook group is: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=12756198637 The site itself (for those without facebook) is: http://www.cultzeros.co.uk/categories.asp?PARTNER=SaintCharlie87 Best of luck for the cup!!
who the hell chose those 'cult heros'? lol Jan Molby? We only had him on loan five minutes! Chopra's clearly not our cult hero - he was great while he last, but again, he was never really 'ours'. Where's Currie? He's got to be right up there. Steve Cooper? - defo a cult hero. Neil Redfearn? Controvertial, but (love hate figure) Danny Wilson... and also Super Johnie Hendrie. Ian Banks & Mick McCarthy too.
RE: who the hell chose those 'cult heros'? lol They've got Glavin. If they didn't have Ronnie they'd want to pack up and go home. No Big Trev though. But you can have Dave Regis or Andy Ritchie though (tumbleweed)
Ha ha ha ha ha!!!!....... Dave Regis and Andy Ritchie? Cripes! Maybe they ought to put Willie Ferry on a shirt too?
RE: Wot about Alan Little? Ahhh! Alan little. Extremely hard player. Very uncompromising. What about Gerry Taggart? Do they have him? All the euphoria over Taggart was bloody great! Some sad individuals even started wearing a bandage on their wrist Mind you; after we beat Leeds 2-1 at Elland Road 89/90, t'owld Gerry gave a great celebration.
I've just bought one of these t shirts with Odejayi on the front and I had Kayode - Chelsea Slayer on it - It's top. I was going to have BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO written on it but thought not, seen as he is a confidence player. Every little helps
Andy Rammel....now he was a player....could finish with the ball on the ground and with his head, and would run through a brick wall to win the ball.... Andy Rammel....my first 'Tarn hero....
Redfearn, Banks, Big Joe Joyce, Taggart, Tiler, Currie, Cooper, Eaden, Clive Baker, Shotton (i'd have one of them), Bullock and finally Tony Rees</p> </p> </p>
Can they make one........... Of Brian Glover as the fair, slightly balding Bobby Charlton? Surely the ultimate Barnsley football cult hero.
Andy Rammell.......... The man they called Rambo. Wasn't his debut as substitute at Ballackburn? Came on and scored the winner, a header, in the last minutes?
First class bloke for a 'legend' tag - especially when you consider Dave Regis was considered. What about that West Ham cup game eh? Great day that was. Lad's singing "Knees Up Mother Brown" as West Ham supporters streamed out of the ground well early. Lovely piss take on our chirpy Cockney cousins methinks
