At least were not alone in having moaning message boards at the minute! Things not looking good for either of us, Could our visit to you next month be your lowest crowd of the season? At 30 quid a pop I honestly think we'll bring bring less than 500 there is already talk of a boycott. Was it 30 quid for you lot to watch Bristol yesterday?
Yes we have decided in someone's infinate wisdom to make 16 games Cat A this year (£30). Hence our dwindling attendances & also the manager taking any given chance to royally rub us up the wrong way is working a charm currently.
I think our pay on day is £27, it's a joke. Maybe a boycott is the way forward, shame they can't make it a decent price and get a decent crowd & atmosphere even though it will probably be a **** game (unless some of these quality French players that are on their way finally arrive) I think they must be walking.
It's a shame both clubs haven't decided to do what they did last year - we'll lower our prices for this fixture if you lower yours. To be honest, I think both clubs should have this fixture as a Family Fun day because with the short distance between the two clubs, it'd almost certainly be a sell out at Oakwell and the Keepmoat if the tickets were £10 for adults and £1 for kids. Also make for a better atmosphere with it being a local derby and let's be honest without the Sheffield clubs here there is only this fixture and Leeds to look forward to - and even Leeds away is looking unlikely for the majority of fans at £36 a ticket. 2011-2012 ? 2010-2011 Barnsley 2 - 2 Doncaster Rovers - 12,418 2009-2010 Barnsley 0 - 1 Doncaster Rovers - 14,188 2008-2009 Barnsley 4 - 1 Doncaster Rovers - 15,086
Ain't £27 your top games? I thought the majority of your games are a lot cheaper than that, sometimes even free to get someone to watch you.
Spot on, family tickets should be available especially as I always like to go to Oakwell but it's going to cost me £75 before I step out the door and a month before Christmas I sadly can't afford that. It's not just us though look at Wolves at home to the one of the best teams at the minute in Europe and they pulled in 12000 50% or so less than they got against Swansea.Something needs to be done accross the board. Gordon - I'm not sure mate I've got a season ticket, I thought they were all £27 although every few weeks they do specials with family tickets £15 quid deals etc. Right now they wouldn't fill it if it was a quid a ticket.
15000 only a few seasons ago and likely to be around the 9000 mark this season. Football is dying and it seems to be dying more quickly in certain parts of South Yorkshire.
Your ok mate we've got our fair share of cocks on our boards. This one does seem like a stroker of the highest order though!
