is it likely that the old supporters society will be worming themselves in to take over the job lot. We are going to watch the situation closely. By the way has Adrian found himself a role yet in the new set up.
That is up to the membership and who stands for the committee. If more than 12 people stand for the committee then elections will be held and the membership will decide who will be on the committee. Anyone who is a member on the 1st August will be eligable to stand for the first elected committee and vote in the elections. That includes members of the Trust who have recently joined, as well as existing members of the SC and SS who have had there membership transferred. A new committee should be in place by the end of September, this allows for nominations to be received by 10th August, voting forms to be produced and a postal vote to be conducted in early September and then the votes counted after the closing date of voting. Do I personally think that the old SS will be worming there way to take over the job lot, then the answer is NO. Adrian again is free to stand for election to the Trust board if he so wishes, then as mentioned earlier the members will decide if he is given the opportunity to find a role for himself If you want more info, then email me
