This club never fails to amaze me.

I have 4 season tickets (2 adults and 2 under 11s). Unfortunately my 2 kids are staying with their grandparents for a couple of days and miss the match. I thought i'd ring the club this morning and see if my brother (adult) could use one of the tickets and the club could sell on the other ticket for the match.

I rang the 211 211 number and was told the ticket office was engaged so I would have to ring the box office direct. I asked if I could be put on hold as the other number costs more (tight I know). I was told the lines were very busy and I would be on hold for ever. So I rang the other number and got straight through (suprise). I spoke to a lady and explained my situation and that it would be win win for the club and me as a customer. Club gets an extra ticket to sell and I get to take my brother. The woman explained that they wouldn't be able to sell the ticket as the deadline had passed and that my brother would have to pay an extra £14 pound to sit in my sons seat. I said that it would have been an extra bum on a seat but she was quite arrogant and said there was nothing they could do for me.

It really pees me off that now there will be 2 empty seats at the side of me when there could have been none.

Surely common sense should have prevailed and the club could have got an extra £20 of much needed revenue (along with program, pie and drink money). I would hazard a guess that people are still ringing for tickets and could have had my extra seat.

What really agitates me though is the clubs attitude to it's CUSTOMERS and the way they don't seem to be flexible to them.

Sorry to rant on but just another example of not using common sense to please the customer.

    The Biggest Home Match Of.....

the season and we haven't even sold out the home ends, which is pathetic. So i don't think your unused tickets would have been needed. However i do see your point, but what you need to realise is common sense is something our club don't have a lot of.

    all true but

they have stressed for two weeks that there was a deadline so how can you expect them to sell you a ticket today? and of course they will want you to upgrade the season ticket to a adult ticket i dont see what you are getting at here. the staff are probably annoyed if people are still tying to buy tickets when it has been well advertised there was a deadline

Not sure what your complaint is really

The club cant sell the extra ticket - its an all ticket game with no tickets on sale on the day.

There is a big difference in price between an adult ticket and an under 11 season ticket - the club have just asked for the difference -seems fair to me. why wont your brother pay the difference between a child and adult price?

Not really sure what the club has done wrong
