So no different to recent weeks then when they appear to have ignored it! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/barnsley/7330167.stm
they players shouldn't be ignoring our league struggles They should be remembering that and being told by the manager that they have let the fans down big time this season, sunday is a chance for them to go some way to making up for that and they should take that knowledge and apply it in the game, put their heart and soul into every challenge, it isn't just about them having a trip to the final it is about making up for a season of ****.
1 away win all season out of the relegation zone only on goal difference. That isn't due to half a season, its based on being one of the worst sides in the league since august. A few good performances early on at home doesn't hide the fact that basically the team has underperformed this season
Whilst I agree with what you say on this occasion, is there any chance you could hang up your whinging boots til Monday? I promise you, I'm not one of those that thinks this is a fantastic season and Davey is god because of the FA cup, but it's one game this weekend and even you should try and enjoy it for a couple of days now. Get a few beers down and smile.
Don't worry, I will enjoy it (I've even stuck £10 on us to win), my point originally was just that the players shouldn't be told to pretend everything is going well. If they forget the struggles in the league and only concentrate on the wins against chelsea and liverpool then we could go into the game very complacent. Approach the game with the mindset that they are determined to show what they can do and to make it up to the fans and they could very well find themselves in the FA cup final.
My guess is that what Davey tells the media and what he says in the dressing room will be very different things. He's a Swansea fan remember.
