barnsley night out advice and recomendations

    eight of us are comming up from nottingham on friday staying the night and then going to the game sat.
    while i do go to all the home games and visit most of the watering holes , its a different matter nowing where to go at night , as i havent been in the town at night for 10yrs. recomendations please , like all types of music but do enjoy motown / soul. many thanks les

    start in Assembley opposite Tarn Hall...then follow the crowds.....Walkabout, Lucorum, Blah Bar, Joseph Bramahs...etc etc.... (pint)

    Your best bet for soul / Mowtown...

    Is the Retro or Shagger Rock (Chicago Rock) up Wellington Street.

    Don't expect nowt too exciting though...
