    My mates coming down from Toon 2mor, was gonna go darn Sheff but i've done it to death,fancy somewhere different.

    We are used to Newcastle's Bigg Market on a Saturday night, and from what i've heard, tarn is quite lively on weekend, so we are thinking Barnsley.

    Can anyone recommend a pub crawl or any bars to go in(if you could recommend what times roughly they are at their best i.e start off here,mid evening etc etc) including late bars,also where not to go.

    Thanks very much in advance

    This is everyone claiming they don't know because they'd never go out and get drunk. Oh no, not this lot.

    Personally would not recomend it! Has gone down hill bigtime over the last few years!
    Depends on your age group I think. If you are aged 30-50 then it is okish cos mainly that kind of age group art in tarn in my most recent experience!
    Lots of bars but nowhere particularly good!
    If I was going on a crawl rarndt tarn;
    hmmm I dunno. Maybe start in Courthouse early for a quiet un (but really grubby in there)
    then up to Lucorum for another quietish un but bit better in there
    then prob over to Yates and down to Bramahs....
    thats takes you up abart 9.30ish
    then might head darn Peel St Esmereldas Livingstones etc
    then its either darn Wellington St or back up to Walkabout.
    Sometimes good darn stairs in No. 7 but depends what you like.

    All in all, think Sheff beats tarn hands down def! But would much prefer tarn to Donny or Rovrum anyday! Hope its a decent neet!
