Barnsley player commentary

Anyone else get a little pissed off with the commentator pausing for god knows how long and you haven't a clue what's happening

Yesterday he said good save by Davies and then never said anything

Next thing I know they nearly score from the corner

I know it's my own fault for paying for it but no other way of listening to the away games I don't attend

I suppose if that's all I can moan about it's not a bad weekend

I get annoyed at them changing commentaries when half time comes. I had to endure Sheff Utd for 10 mins into the second half until we had our commentary back. I don't know if thats after i closed and re-opened the app or if they just took so long to switch back. Either way poor show. Think i might cancel given that it doesn't have anything that isn't available elsewhere.

 

Have to be honest I never missed any of the commentary and they have stopped swapping to the other games

They didn't yesterday.

 

There's a pause at half time when our game isn't live on the radio where it switches back to the FM commentary. It switches back again the 2nd our game restarts (yesterday being the first time it didn't as they appeared to have technical issues).

I reckon Adam Oxley does a decent job, he's constantly commentating on the game for 90 minutes, on his own. As it was before, the lads had each other to bounce off if they needed a breather. Adam can't do that.

I don't think the commentary is that bad. I believe the brief pauses are prior to him giving an update on the game for the FM listeners, where he summarises what has happened in the last 20 minutes.

I think it's alright, still worth the £4 a month.

Its not bad price and its not the money that would drive my cancellation. The problem is i expect Barnsley player, the channel exclusively for my club to be that. So far i hear the same interviews on player on Radio Sheff and the commentary is purely Radio Sheff and bleeds over from others. It isn't bad commentary but when i signed up i had Barnsley orientated commentators and exclusive interviews.

 

But there's more to the service than commentary which was very good yesterday by the way. I like the fact that some time today I can watch a long highlights package and then, maybe tomorrow, the whole match. I like the goal videos of the other teams at the club. I like the interviews (mostly).

It's an excellent service for £37 a year
