Do they offer a subscription service where you can watch the game live online ... or is it just Audio commentary ?

If they don't wouldn't it be something to look at marketing ?

you see I cant always get to games but do have access to the Internet all the time and I would pay for this

    It'd be good for me!

However, I suspect that even if they were allowed to do this (and I'm not sure they are), anything that stops a couple more people from coming through the turnstile on a Saturday wouldn't stack up income-wise. You wouldn't need many people to decide to stay at home and watch it on Player on a rainy February afternoon before you'd lost money.

Don't think it's an option. Something in the tv rights that 3pm games can't be shown live.

Live games just have audio commentary, but sections for line up, match stats and a live table are there. You don't need to listen to our own (as it were) commentators, you can listen to the opposition too, which can be interesting. The full match is available to watch again within a day or so. I think it's pretty fair overall.

League rules stipulate that first team games can't be streamed live. It would be commercial suicide for the club in any case.

I think it's a general football league rule.

I heard it on the radio a few weeks ago (talksport maybe) that Burnley and a few other clubs put it to the FA that they were losing revenue due to 3pm games being shown on TV, so a rule was made to prevent it.

    Back in the 60's iirc.
