MK Dons were totally outplayed by Oldham today - according to Oldham commentary, at any rate. I was hoping that Oldham would nobble a couple of their players, but that didn't happen, unfortunately. We have got a bl00dy good chance of beating them next week and then a potentially lucrative next round draw (stating the obvious, I know). COYR.
In hindsight, I really do think our 'low profile' cup ties have been a blessing. We all know what happened to league form during 2008, between Liverpool and the semis. I'm gonna really enjoy the MK game. I won't be devastated if we go out, tbh. Bigger fish to fry
Well you have to fancy us to get at least a draw - which i wouldnt really want from having to play a replay. Hopefully the team can go and play and express themselves, play without fear and get the win.
I think we've got a good chance. Be interesting to see if he goes full strength, or saves some juice for the Wolves game. I'd take the 3 points in a heartbeat
Yeah. Maybe bring in all or some of Mellis, Hassell, Wiseman, Scotland and O'Grady? The thing about playing 3 at the back is you do need more CB cover if you're going to rest players. Usual balance between changing the team, but not too much.
As far as I'm concerned, **** resting players, lets go out to win. Winning would send the lads into the Wolves game on a high, as well as putting us a game away from Wembley.
Flicker said this week that he would rest Fozzy Bear, and play Hassell. Also intimated that the "new" players ie O'Grady, Scotland and Delap need some game time to reach match fitness so could start with these.Could bring back Mellis and rest JOB. Either way, as he says its a Squad thing and each player will be involved. Live the Dream - ride the Adventure!!
Would still be a strong side capable of winning the game. Think COG is cup tied? played against MK Dons in the 3rd round I believe for the Wendies.
