    Ayup Reds.
Just trying it bring together all my footage in a list so I can share all what I've got.
Bradford promo game I've only got a hour of highlights that the club released officially has anyone got the full game? It seems strange that this game above all others is not available in full.
    Cheers KT.

The whole day is indelibly imprinted in the synapses of my brain - if that helps...

I'd love that! I've got some audio from Hallam FM it's key bits of commentary with after game interviews. Keith Lodges reaction brings a lump to the throat.

It does and me too. I can remember the day to the last detail. It was the culmination of a superb period of football while I was going through a rubbish time life wise. I keep saying I'm going to write a blog or summat but never get round to it.

Hey Ken, I used to tape Lodgey's radio Hallam Fm match updates and after match interviews back in the 80s & 90s, on naff cassette tapes lol.

And as for the Bradford promotion game, I also can't remember ever seeing it full, either on dvd or vhs tape.
Maybe Ole Bjorn Sundgot found them and destroyed them all, cos he had a right stinker of a game that day. :D

When I walked into the job in 2016 I expected a huge archive of footage and imagery. In truth, I've had to build it from scratch ever since. I was told that during administration, mountains of video and photography disappeared. I've genuinely had to use YouTube, bits from other clubs, help from colleagues and friends etc to build it to the point it's at now. Which is proper ****, considering it's a 135-year-old club. The late, great Arthur Bower had practically every programme from the first day he attended. His son, Tim will have that immaculate collection. I visited him at the time, Arthur offered me the entire collection. He wanted the club to have them. When I say immaculate, I mean immaculate. In plastic covers. Never opened. But I turned him down. Because I didn't want to bring it to the club and it end up at risk of being damaged, moved or whatever else. It's better with Tim, until such a time that the club has the appropriate facility to store what in my opinion is a priceless part of our history.

Need anything from 2015 to 2022? Not a problem. Because I've kept everything we've ever done. I assumed that was a given for the job I'm in. Seemingly not, in the case of those who went before me.

I know the lad in my role at York City. He has practically everything you could ever wish for. They're not quite 135 years old, but still. Their archive is 50 times the size of ours.

    So...

And I've said this before - @kendraytyke - I'd actually like you to work with us on stuff like this. Anything you get, as a club, we'd love to have it also. Without your watermarks, obviously. I'll drop you a private message with my email address on.

    Cheers.

I’d love to hear it again, that’s how I followed the match on that day!

Would Barnsley archives take those programmes and store them properly I wonder? Be a shame for them to be lost or damaged in the future.

I'd guess he meant without as videos with watermarks don't look as good.

I gave my entire collection of programmes (bar about 5) to the club a few years ago. I hope they weren't dumped in the WSB!

I thought that at first but it seemed a weird thing to just blatantly say ‘we’d love all your work without giving you any acknowledgement’ so I think it’s more likely to be an autocorrect. It’s seems like the kind of thing that you’d quietly request in a pm rather than outright saying it.

I never expect to see the like of that game again. Not ashamed to admit there were tears in my eyes at the end. And I was stood alongside a friend of mine who passed away in 2008, aged 56. He was over from Canada, where he had forged a very successful career as a respected academic. God rest him.

Manchester United (FA Cup replay, February 1998) was a whole different matter. I opened my mouth to speak at the end of that game but no words would come out! What memories.

"We that are young shall never see so much, nor live so long!"

    I didn’t say that.

The OP (who I know) has done a fine job in uploading to YouTube a lot of old footage of BFC from video. I would like the ‘clean’ versions, to add to the club archive. If we were ever to use them, of course we’d acknowledge the work that he’s done in salvaging such pieces. As we always do in such instances.

The games that were available on VHS through the nineties - are you saying that the club hasn’t kept at least one copy of each? I’d be happy to donate mine back if it makes any difference.

Why not put out an e-mail asking who has got them? I know the YouTube channel put out a similar request. I'd be happy to give you the dozen or so I have.

You probably won't get any record of the defeats we suffered but that's OK!
