Looking at team on Saturday last, was it a bench chosen to showcase (if that's the right term) players looking to be going Killip, Cosgrove, Benson with Lofthouse on the pitch. And why was Lofthouse taken off and not another forward ie Dyer brought on to replace him. The game had 0-0 on it from the start in my opinion. Nobody expected a body coming in for Benson with his injury record but I was surprised to see Lofthouse in the opening lineup. But I expected Dyer to be given a chance to make an impression at least.
