Before this is picked up on as another stick to beat the club with, BarnsleyWorld is not a club venture. It is a Football League venture and the pricing of it has nothing to do with the club. IIRC the admins of the fc.net board asked GS about the potential loss of income resulting from sharing commentary and highlight links and he said that the commission from the FL for BarnsleyWorld sign-ups was so nominal it made no difference.

EDIT - yes, though, £40 is a fecking scandal. As I go to all the home games and some away, that's at least £2 a match for a poor quality audio stream!

A quid a game. Living overseas as I do its a good deal. Before this I used to wait for the goals to come in on Sky Sports Live Scores. You are right about the quality of streaming sometimes. The worst was the play-off final last year when we had to listen to the Swansea commentary.

It's just anoying as I'm stuck in the office today, the first home match of the season I'm going to miss, and it's going to cost that to listen to it. Ok, I get away games too, and a few other features, but the main reason (for me) is the ability to listen live whilst at work.
