    As much as I love Barry as a wing back, I don't see where he fits in to this system. Not defensive minded enough to play as a full back and too wasteful to play wide in a front 3. We need players out, I just hope County are picking up a good portion of his wages.

    Good move for him though. I think he'll do well at that level.

    As much as I want him to do well at an individual level, I'm pleased with this news. The first of hopefully several to leave who are just not good enough for the level we're at, let alone the one we aspire to.

    Always tried though, so thanks for your efforts Barry and good luck.

    Honest player, but sadly lacking in quality for this level. A step down might do him the world of good.

    Hopefully this means an incoming sooner rather than later

    I'm sorry for being contrary to what many seem to think (some on here probably think I'm a nob anyway...) but I'm glad to get Cotter out of the squad. He's just not very good. He runs about a bit, has energy and tries but he is nor what we need going forward. As Echo and the bunnymen prophetically said: Spare Us The Cotter.

    Spoke with him when Clarke wasn't playing him after the Man Utd game. Asked him why he wasn't being played. Told me to ask the manager, who then walked past so I did. Didn't get an answer.
    Always liked him but think he hasnt had chance to stick to one position long enough to claim it as his and develop in that role.
    Proper nice guy and funny too.

    Got the worth ethic, speed and unpredictability but sadly not quite enough for us.

    Not good enough defensively to play full back and not got enough end product to be a winger.

    I wish him well though.

    Koroma or another winger in the building soon I wonder?

    I'll miss Barry, but better for him to get a chance to play regularly I suppose.

    I like him, and as honest as the days long, but I’d agree with others that he lacks the quality. Having said that, if ‘lacks the quality’ is the criteria, there’s a lot more that will be leaving.

    Seems a really good bloke and I’ll miss his ridiculous step overs but I’ll also remember that sublime first time cross against Reading on the last game of this season , genuinely wish the lad good luck.

    A player that always gave his all, so it’s tough to criticise / but I think we need better quality.
