A former soliciter is bringing a private prosecution against him and they have decided to give him the papers during big brother.

Is it just me that thinks that is plain wrong? Why now? Why suddenly when he is in big brother? why not wait? People like that make me sick, they clearly dont care about getting justice for the dead man (that willingly went to the party and took drugs) they just want to cause as much embarrassment to barrymore as possible.

    And get publicity for themselves.

Or is the former solicitor now a newsagent?

It has to be a personal vendetta

And all about making a name for himself

Mr Bennett, of Chippingfield, Harlow, said: "I have written to Essex Magistrates' Court bringing a private prosecution against Mr Barrymore getting him to face a number of charges.

"If it is successful he could be whisked out of the Big Brother house.

    "whisked out"

Does that involve using a certain kitchen implement?

    Yes I agree

I dislike Barrymore intensley - but there is a time and a place, and this is not it.

Unless someone needs to be arrested on site, there should be no other access until they are available. He could for example be abroad on holiday, and I'm sure they would await his return.

Although it may be legal to do so, I also think it's wrong that the whole nation should know what is to happen before the recipient does.

No doubt it will up the viewing figures and create some "memorable television" at someone else's expense.

    An alternative view

might be that this is a combined effort by the dead blokes father and the ex solicitor to prevent Barrymore using Big Brother as a spring board to success.

I'm in two minds regarding your statement. Part of me agrees with you, but the publicity thing works boths ways and I'm in no doubt that Barrymore has a carefully crafted strategy for the Big Brother programme that will gain him maximum publicity and possible future work whilst portraying him in the best possible way. I for one would be dismayed to see him on TV again. He knows what happened that evening Stuart Lubluc died was wrong and that he was partially / wholly to blame. I get the impression that he thinks all is forgotten and its time for a millionaire's TV lifestyle again.

Maybe the current court proceedings have some element of blocking tactic in them as well as publicity for their own cause ? It could be simply a plan to knock the wheels off Barrymore's comeback.

Is there any kind of evidence he was invloved?

Or is it just that it was at his house?

It could even work in his favour if he gets served with those papers whilst on BB. Sympathy vote & all that.
