Barsley Player - cutting to other matches during our match

This is the 3rd match they've cut to during our match. Is there any official way to complain about this? I'm paying for our commentary which I am missing whilst they are going to other commentators. I'm also sick of them saying I'm listening to 'Football Heaven'. I'm paying for Barnsley Player and therefore I want to listen to our commentary for the whole match.

 

I've already made my decision to cancel it, my renewal is due in a few weeks so I'm just using up the remains of my subscription, then it's going.

I'll subscribe again when they bring the lads back to do it exclusively for us. If I want to know how the other teams are doing there's plenty of websites available.

 

It's standard Radio Sheffield commentary that you are getting so they will cross to other teams in the area.
Insert rant about Matt Bailey not doing the commentary. GRRR

The only people to complain to are the club who CHOSE to dump local lads in favour of a big national brand who offer an inferior product.

Have they ever actually said what difference there is to the club financially of using the BBC compared to using volunteers?

I'm not all that bothered about the odd interruption seeing as this is only my second Saturday of the season listening in - I've been to the rest.

Yes it's a annoying but we are stuck with it now. The increased quality of match highlights more than compensates for me. Barnsley Player is about much more than match day commentaries but I agree with everyone else about the previous commentators being better.

Shame we had to lose that service but at least there is coverage and, so far, it's consistent.

I realise it depends on what happens in the other games, goals, cards etc, but it does my head in.

Isn't Barnsley player advertised as 'live UNINTERRUPTED commentary"?

 

Now we've got commentary from Hillsborough, I make that 13 interruptions since our game kicked off. If they are about a minute each, that's almost a third of the game missing.

I won't count it if the interruption itself gets interrupted by another interruption.

 

Those things aren't mutually exclusive though. Who we get to actually provide the commentary has no bearing whatsoever on whether we get HD videos or not.

 

Twitter folk going mad on this subject too. I expect the club will have a few complaints about this come Monday morning.

 

They're probably much less than a minute but you can't get an idea of the flow of the match as it keeps cutting away. Also annoying to hear 'and that was a good attempt by Harris' when it comes back as we missed actually hearing it/the build up to it.
