I certainly don't expect everyone to agree but it's my opinion. Tom Kennedy: I genuinely feel like he's stealing a living. He's got the wool pulled over some people's eyes but I'm not really sure how. Spineless, gutless, heartless. Pretends to challenge for headers by jumping in the general vicinity of the opposition player. Switches off too easily, and too slow/cumbersome in possession. I just really don't think he has many redeeming features as a left back. Did take 1 decent corner today, which I think takes him to 1 decent corner out of 150. Scott Wiseman: Thought he was dreadful today. Disappeared without trace for long spells in the 2nd half in particular but I don't actually understand where he goes because on the rare occasions where he gets forward, he has no self-belief and just turns back towards his own goal. I'm very much of the opinion that we need two new full backs if we're going to sort things out. Felt the above was highlighted more by the fact that I thought both centre halves played well today, but spent far too much time chasing out to the full back positions that had been left derelict. David Perkins: He's just not the man he was last season. 'Needing rid' is probably extreme with him but he seems to have lost the yard that he definitely had in his head at one stage. When he picks up the ball he seems to spend 5 seconds trying to work out what he should do, and by then, all avenues are closed off. Don't know if a break from the side would help. Stephen Dawson: Just don't think he's good enough. I liked him at one stage but even the fight and the tackling in him seems to have dwindled away. Judgement reserved on how far Scotland's legs can carry him nowadays too. Felt that Cranie/Ramage/Steele did a very good job today, O'Grady held it up okay without looking much of a threat. We played okay first half but didn't stick the ball in the net, and 2nd half I think almost from the first whistle, the Bolton goal seemed inevitable with the space they were getting and our inability to make a meaningful tackle, centre backs aside.
Agree with most, but do believe that Wiseman has had a good season (today, was an off day, but he's earned that).
As I say, I have no problem with people disagreeing with me. I think his total lack of self-confidence holds him back. Doesn't realise how much of a threat he could be getting down the right flank if he had the balls to run past anyone - and that 2nd half lack of effort to track back was disgusting, particularly when you consider he's not having to track back that far since he never pushes far enough forward. Full backs and central midfield have cost us time and time again this season in my opinion.
Agree with all those Rob. I will add M'Voto and Etuhu to the list also. Third division at best. The lot of 'em.
I'm undecided on M'Voto. I still think he had a few decent games and will certainly have his uses in certain games. Etuhu can't seem to recapture the form for last season, but right now I'd pick him over Dawson/Perkins.
