4 goals in 17 games, in League Two. I have no problem with the bloke - sure he's a decent chap and a decent footballer. My concern is more the fact that (if rumours are correct), we are viewing a man with that goalscoring record as the solution to our goalscoring problems this season, two divisions higher. I don't understand it.
Hes in double figures this year. Hasn't failed to score less than 20 in his previous 3 seasons. Im not saying he is the answer to our prayers either, but id rather take a chance on an english bloke with an impressive lower league scoring record this time rather than another Mostto.
Those stats are very selective As Dan says, his goal tally this season is in to double figures which is surely more pertinent. He wouldn't be my choice like, but I think you're selling him short with the stats you've used.
RE: Those stats are very selective A striker is only as effective as the rest of his team allow him to be. My concern isn't his stats, rather that he is 26 and hasn't yet played above the fourth tier. A massive leap for someone his age, who is probably already at his peak. At least Jamie Ward had the scope to improve. In race horse parlance Ward is progressive, Bishop is exposed.
RE: I expected Dirk or TM to come out with that line first I mitre known you'd have a go at me about puns.
RE: Well it seems he is now "surplus" to requirements Bishop's better than Odejayi at a CANTER. BURY will be pleased we're not going to sign him.
RE: Those stats are very selective I think he probably is or very near to it at least. A fine line between a forward being at his best and starting to lose his legs.
